New at-home UTI Test and Treatment Service Launched

We’re expanding our selection of secure and reliable home tests with a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) digital screening service.

Around 50% of women suffer from UTIs globally, with 30% of those experiencing more than one infection in their lifetime. For those that suffer from UTIs the importance of being able to receive a diagnosis and begin treatment quickly and conveniently is the key priority.

The current demand on the healthcare system in the UK means it’s a slow process to get an appointment with a GP. Patients would then need to arrange for a consultation, collect their test and have the sample analysed before receiving a prescription, which can take several days. Alternatively, patients can be diagnosed through a questionnaire which is a faster process, but far less accurate and risks a misdiagnosis, meaning the symptoms may not be treated effectively and antibiotics could be prescribed unnecessarily.

How does Certific’s UTI Test and Treatment service work?

  1. Patients can purchase a test kit through Certific as soon as they notice symptoms and receive it within 24 hours.
  2. Patients will then complete a short health questionnaire through the Certific app and undertake a guided self-test to receive accurate results and confirm their condition.
  3. Our doctors will then provide advice directly to the patient along with a tailored treatment plan, which can include a medical prescription, around 60 minutes after submitting the result.
